Haiseiden
	Ueno City is also known of being the birthplace of the most famous haiku poet, Basho Matsuo. This Haiseiden was completed in 1942 celebrating the 300th anniversary of Matsuo's birth. Inside the octagonal building, portraits of Matsuo traveling the whole country is displayed, and sculpture of Matsuo created in the Iga style is exhibited.
